Every rule we follow and everything we do was made up, by us, at some point in the history of humanity, your job, your taxes, the fact that we must wear clothes in public; you get the point. My practice acts as both a response and a sort of documentation of the simple and the silly.

Working mainly, though not exclusively, with drawing, painting, and writing, my work explores the mundane and absurdity of the every day. It is spontaneity and play that fuels the drawings I create, I work by producing as much as I can, all of the time, pulling inspiration from thoughts, feelings, things I have seen and heard, conversations etc. (the list could go on and on).

Sometimes laughing is the only thing we can do in the face of an existence that is as equally absurd as it is painful and my work aims to let you know that it is okay to laugh at it all and that I feel the exact same way.
